DYM will release new material with "The Swarm"

On Friday (February 25th), DYM will release their new stuff called "The Swarm". The album includes 6 new tracks and a bonus section of 10 remixes.
After a serie of excellent remixes in 2009 for CEDIGEST, GRENDEL, ACYLUM, UNTER NULL and C-LEKKTOR, DYM have finally completed the follow-up to 2008‘s „The Invilid“ (NoiTekk/Cop International).

Again merging the sequenced sounds of harsh-EBM with lements of breakcore and glitching, DYM draw influences from „old-school“ industrial acts like fellow-Canadians SKINNY PUPPY and the rhythm and noise of VENETIAN SNARES to create their own unique brand of dark and quirky electronica.

Mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN),“The Swarm“ is an extended EP/ mini-album of 6 brand new tracks plus a colossal bonus section of no less than 10 remixes - one of each track from „The Invilid“, presented in the exact same track order as the original! The remixes come from top electro-industrial scene names like AMDUSCIA, C-LEKKTOR, PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1, ENCEPHALON, FRACTURED and labelmates DIE SEKTOR.

PLASMODIVM release second album "The Post-Modern Prometheus"

After the excellent worldwide reception of his debut "Paradise under Fire" Plasmodivm comes back with "The Post-Modern Prometheus", a non-comformist, defiant and fresh work, which combines part of the trend started in his previous work, with more melodic elements, both at vocal and musical levels.

Inkubus Sukkubus - new album on Friday!

The latest Inkubus Sukkubus release, entitled the ‘Dark Goddess’, is a celebration of the less benevolent aspects of female divinity and is dedicated to the Goddess Lilith.

Not every single track embraces this theme; there is the anthemic ‘Karnayna Chorus’, which is a celebration of the Horned God, but most of the songs on the album point towards the many aspects of the goddess at her more sinister.

One track, ‘Lose yourself at the Nymphaeum’, was inspired by an actual event. Bassist in the band Bob Gardener was repairing a Cotswold stone wall for a woman in Gloucestershire, when he found hidden in the wall a statue of a young woman sleeping. Although the statue had been damaged by many years of rain and other weather, it was still extremely lifelike, as if the girl were merely asleep.

As the area where the figure was found has a reputation for having a ‘strong supernatural presence’, Bob was eager to leave the little stone lady where he found her, but the owner of the wall had no desire for him to do so and asked him to remove her. So Bob has kept the statue.

The finding of the sleeping girl seemed to be a sign of sorts, especially in an area known both for having an eerie atmosphere and a long history dating back to Roman times. Although the sleeping girl may not date back as far as antiquity, the sentiment that was behind the hiding of the figure in the wall could well be.

The wall in which the figure was discovered is located very close to the village of Chedworth which has a Nypmphaeum in the form of a water shrine located in the remains of the Roman villa there, a little further away is the once notorious Woodchester Park located in the village of Nympsfield, where an ancient Long Barrow is also to be found.

Inkubus Sukkubus are known for embracing both the dark and the light, which is one of the reasons why they are known for their depth and complexity by music fans, Pagans and academics alike, and the ‘Dark Goddess’ album certainly has both darkness and light within it.

Throughout 2011 Inkubus Sukkubus will be concentrating on their live shows and developing their performance which, now where possible, contains a video backdrop. The year will also see the re-release of three of the band’s albums ‘Supernature’, ‘Heartbeat of the Earth’ and ‘Away with the Faeries’.

Biography:

For 21 years now Inkubus Sukkubus have been weaving their magick for music fans across the world. So, what does the future hold for this passionately unique and diverse band...

When three students got together at a Gloucestershire college in 1989, they did so for a shared interest in alternative music, earth mysteries and occultism. Little did they know at this time the enduring appeal and vice-like grip the music would have on them and many of the band’s followers over the years.

Twenty-one years on, and Inkubus Sukkubus has released 13 albums and played over most of the world. The band has a very unique and interesting sound that is mystical, exciting, beautiful and erotic.

Inkubus Sukkubus are very much part of the supernatural world, both the light and the dark. Almost the entire band’s vast lyrical library is based around mystical and occult themes. The uncompromising nature of the band’s lyrics has, over time, won them a large international audience, but at the same time has put a ceiling on their success. But this is how the band wanted it and it is why they signed to a small independent record label; complete artistic freedom is very important to Inkubus Sukkubus. This is not to say that the band have not had any mainstream attention; they have appeared on BBC Radio 1, Channel 4 TV, BBC World Service Radio and have reached number 40 in the US download charts, but in general terms Inkubus Sukkubus are very much an underground phenomenon, hidden from the everyday world.

The band homepage at inkubussukkubus.com is the gateway to more than 25 free music downloads, video links, gig dates, pictures and a detailed history of the band. It is also possible to buy signed copies of the band’s albums. The alternative location of this site paganfire.com .

Atomic Neon release new album "Change"

ATOMIC NEON did a small trip to Plastic Frog Records. Soon there will be a 7" vinyl single called "A Desperate Dream" including 3 new tracks. ATOMIC NEON also contributed to "Black Snow Vol. 2" and they also have a track on the sampler "Zwischenfall - A New Decade Vol. 1". The new album "Change" will be released on Black Rain Rec. at February 11th...

Atomic Neon is one of the most impressing ColdWave bands of our time. With their unique and brillant way of combining the melancholy of Wave music from the 80ies and the feeling of getting lost in our modern society of the new millenium, Atomic Neon release their new album "Change" which is a masterpiece full of emotions filled with soul - an album so private and personal (I am Black, Alien) but still with room enough to find yourselves in the depth of emotional labyrinths.

Two years after the highly respected album "Darkenia", "Change" shows that Atomic Neon really went through some fundamental changes.

This album is different - but also typical for Atomic Neon. Again there are songs about misery (I Hate My Love, Alone), sadness (Weep) and love gone lost (Without You).

New powerful tracks (Change, Welt Ohne Farbe) go hand in hand with tender (Last Night, My Cry Of Pain) and fragile songs (Empty, She)! Distorted guitars, atmospheric keyboards, dark bass lines and haunting drums accentuate lamenting vocals. Atomic Neon's "Change" is honest, dark, melancholic and full of pain!
